This is my attempt to get back into blogging… something that was a huge part of my life for a long time. It was my therapy and my enjoyment. Sadly, my health just became an issue and I got too tired, too depressed, too everything to keep up with it. The more I got “behind” the more disgusted with the whole thing, so I quit. Finally I got rid of my domain too, which is all fine now. I just want to be able to get back to keeping track of my life this way again.
So… more about me?
I’m a forty-something mom of two fantastic grown sons. I’ve been married to the same wonderful man for 30 years as of July 19, 2015.
I have a great daughter-in-law and would love to get news just annnny time now that she’s gonna make me a gramma, but they’re not in any hurry. *sigh* 😉
I’m also about to get a new daughter-in-love when my baby son gets married this summer. I canNOT wait! UPDATE::
I now have my DIL#2 as of July 26, 2014. She is an RN and she and my baby son are happy as two larks. Now at least I have another shot at getting a grandbaby, right? LOL!
I’m also a Christian. I love Jesus with all my heart and owe my life to Him. If that offends you, you should probably just leave now because I talk a LOT about my faith and won’t make any apologies for it. I serve in an amazing church and LOVE my huge church family. I’m also super-active in our Emmaus community. If you’ve never heard of it, google “Walk To Emmaus”. I absolutely LOVE getting to work in our Emmaus family and seeing lives be changed for Christ!
I love birds, that is, wild birds… love watching them, photographing them, listening to them.. I have a crazy little black & white Shih Tzu/Maltese mix baby named Max and a big ol’ chocolate lab named Samson. We have been raising chickens for fresh, chem-free eggs since March of 2014, which is a crazy adventure. We’re also looking at some other big changes that maybe I’ll get to hash out here in the near future.
UPDATE!!- As of about March of 2014, I also began riding a road bike after Hubby had spent a year riding and loving it. He bought me an entry-level (but well above Walmart quality) bike and I discovered I really enjoyed cycling. We started riding with our local club and of course, just together sometimes. He is now (2015) in the middle of doing The Kentucky Century Challenge which is a total of four ONE HUNDRED MILE bike rides over the season. As of 5/23/15, he has completed two of those and the third is in a couple weeks. For my part, I am over-the-moon proud of him and hoping I can be half the cycling beast he is when I grow up. 🙂
That’s about it for now, I guess. If you have any questions, just ask. 🙂
